We have no enemy guilds. While other guilds may use a red tag to reflect an enemy, it is merely a warning sign in PEN. If you see a red tag, the person belongs to a guild that had at least one member that was decided to be a threat to the members of the guild. A red tag might be earned by bag-jumping, scamming, luring or pking threats.
PK is allowed in some areas of the game. It is advised that if you see a red tag and you don't know that they are trustworthy, that you try to avoid them.
If you see a blue tagged person, consider those people as extended family to the guild. As a member of PEN, you will see that your own guild tag is blue.
If you see a purple tagged person, they are a person of a guild that is supposed to be under a non-aggression pact with us.
Being an ally of PEN does not mean we will fight for them in PK. It does usually mean preferred rates at my bot (alch_store) though. It also means we will try to keep them informed when we find info that we feel our allies should know.
If you see a person with a grey tag, they are in a guild that was blue or purple tagged, but someone in their guild did something that we do not approve of. They need to regain their honor in our eyes before they regain a blue/purple tag.

Sorry for the delay in my reply, Vanessa. Yes, alot of people do sit around or walk by. There is a role playing channel, but not many people go there. Mainly, just feel free to say anything in a role playing manner anywhere in the game. If you want to have the game say "Vanessa_White laughs whole heartedly", type in ":laughs whole heartedly". If you want to clap, do "*clap". That is a clap "emote". You can get a list of emotes with "#emotes".
